Composing A Nationally Historic Gem

This nationally historic home is a rare gem that had been split into four separate residences. We set out to combine two of those spaces to create one beautifully open home that was perfect for entertaining and hosting the home owners’ ever-growing brood of children and grandchildren. To make sure the home felt functional and accessible to the family, we worked to marry modern design with historic frames, while taking advantage of dramatic architectural details for results that would please the condo trustees, historical society, and, of course, the family.
