Updating Italianate Architecture

This Cambridge home features gorgeous Italianate architecture and detailed design. The homeowners wanted to create a modern master bedroom suite comprising an entire floor, as well as a custom-designed sewing room for their daughter. We sought to add space, simplicity, and creative details—like integrated glass in the mansard roof—to the home’s intricate design.
